A Story Revealed
My journey into the world of Doula support began long before I even knew what a doula was. I was an “unknown” Doula nearly 44 years ago when my sister gave birth to her oldest child, then again twice over with her second and third. I assisted in every aspect of each of her pregnancies. As I cared for them, taking on the responsibilities of a mother, I experienced such a bond with those children and realized that this type of love was different and indescribable. I knew then that one day somehow, I would be involved in maternal care.
When my best friend became pregnant, I was with her before and after she gave birth. With no hesitation, I took off from work for two weeks, packed up my bags, and stayed with her, coaching, cooking, and helping with her newborn while she rested. This pattern of support continued with other friends. In 2015, I discovered the term “doula” but was initially confused about the role. A few years went by, and in the latter part of 2019, I researched the industry in search of doula training. After being delayed by the pandemic, I pursued formal doula training and became certified through the Commonsense Childbirth Institute in 2023, and also attended Stillbirthday University, and was certified as a Birth and Bereavement Doula in 2024. This journey, combined with my ongoing education, has solidified my dedication to providing exceptional maternal care.
Our Commitment to Excellence
I dedicate Birth Reveal Services LLC to my parents. They taught me the value of hard work, dedication, and to never take short cuts. My father was my first love. I’ll always be a daddy’s girl. I watched him start a business from scratch, and his hard work not only rubbed off on me but also gave me the entrepreneurial spirit that drives my business today. To my mother, I watched you come in drained from working long hours at the hospital as a nurse. You sacrificed so much for your children, and your care for others, that little was poured back into you, and all your hopes and dreams were put on the back burner. You shared your birth experiences with me. I dedicate this endeavor to you, and all three of the babies that you lost. I will never know what it would have been like to have had three other siblings. You had two rainbow babies in between those losses. Your struggles and the loss of three babies are deeply ingrained in my motivation to serve others with compassion and care. I strive to honor your memory and the legacy of love and dedication that you imparted to me. I hope I’ve made you proud.
The commitment to serving families with the utmost care and respect is at the core of everything I do. Being a parent is one of life’s highest callings, and I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to be part of your birth experience. To all the families I have had the honor of serving and those I have yet to meet, I am committed to providing the support and care you deserve during one of life’s most transformative journeys.
